Cyprus Airways, an iconic airline brand, resumed operations In July 2016, Charlie Airlines Ltd emerged victorious in a competitive tender, securing the rights to the esteemed Cyprus Airways brand for a decade. This milestone was celebrated with the signing of an agreement with the Ministry of Finance of Cyprus, setting the stage for our enduring legacy.

In July 2018, Cyprus Airways achieved a significant milestone by successfully passing the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), a testament to our unwavering dedication to the highest standards of operational safety. Just a few months later, in October 2018, we proudly joined the esteemed International Air Transport Association (IATA), further enhancing our commitment to global aviation excellence.

In December 2021, a pivotal moment in our history unfolded as Arcosjet acquired a portion of Cyprus Airways shares, foreshadowing an exciting future. Fast forward to November 2022, and Arcosjet has acquired 100% of the airline, ushering in a new era of growth, innovation, and customer-focused service. Under the stewardship of Arcosjet, Cyprus Airways continues to uphold its long-term goal—to be a catalyst for tourism growth in Cyprus and a beacon for local travelers, offering a world of possibilities. Our commitment to expanding horizons remains steadfast as we embark on this thrilling journey together.

Based at the vibrant Larnaca International Airport, Cyprus Airways operates with a passionate team of over 150 professionals. Cyprus Airways flights are operated on Airbus combination of A320 and A220 aircraft, the former offering 168 Economy Class seats and 8 Business Class Seats while the latter offers 110 economy seats and 12 high-end business class, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable journey for every traveler across 19 destinations to Europe, Middle East, and beyond.
