About Coronavirus

Following the announcement by the President of the Republic of Cyprus on March 13, 2020, which imposed the prohibition of entry into Cyprus to any citizens - subject to certain limited exceptions-  Cyprus Airways suspended all regular flights from March 17, 2020.

Currently all commercial passenger flights from and to the airports of Cyprus are prohibited in accordance with the relevant Decree of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works.

If your flight is canceled and have booked your tickets using Cyprus Airways website or Call-Center you will receive an email notification with the alternative options offered:

  • you can rebook your flight to the same destination for a future date
  • you can issue a travel voucher for the amount of the original ticket. Your travel voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and you can use the whole or part of the voucher within the validity period.  Once it expires, (i.e. 12 months after issuance) , you are eligible to request a refund of the remaining unused amount paid for your initial booking, provided that the travel voucher has not been used in full. Full terms and conditions for travel voucher are available here.

Please note, that the travel voucher is  issued automatically and sent to the email address you used when booking your flight. If you have not  received a voucher, please visit Manage my booking page.

For bookings through travel agents: Please contact your  travel agent for further assistance.

We are following all governmental announcements and legislation concerning the measures for the containment of Covid-19 outbreak. Once the travel restrictions are lifted in a way that allows us to resume the operation of scheduled flights, we will share the information with you.
